Ten years ago this week, a fight between Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort would change the course of Brazilian mixed martial arts history.

Sherdog Brazil correspondent Marcelo Alonso invited Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who closely followed the friendship between Silva and Belfort that turned into one of the biggest rivalries in MMA, to recall why the pair had such a huge impact in Brazil, transforming MMA into the second most popular sport behind soccer.

“Minotauro” also gave his thoughts on the upcoming belt dispute between Kamaru Usman and Gilbert Burns at UFC 258.
