Islam Makhachev continues to look like a man nobody wants to face in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s lightweight division.

The Khabib Nurmagomedov protégé rolled past Thiago Moises in the UFC on ESPN 26 main event, winning via rear-naked choke 2:38 into the fourth round of their 155-pound encounter at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. In victory, Makhachev becomes the first person to finish Moises in 20 professional outings.

Here is a by-the-numbers look at UFC on ESPN 26, with statistics courtesy of UFCStats.com.

6: Lightweights in UFC history to win eight consecutive bouts. With his triumph on Saturday, Makhachev joined Khabib Nurmagomedov, Tony Ferguson, Charles Oliveira, Donald Cerrone and Gray Maynard as the only athletes at 155 pounds to accomplish that feat.

61: Significant strikes landed by Makhachev. Moises, meanwhile, landed just 13. The Dagestani lightweight also held a 148-to-18 edge in total strikes landed.

31: Significant body strikes for Makhachev. Moises landed just five in that category. Makhachev also held a 27-to-3 advantage in significant clinch strikes and a 12-to-1 edge in significant ground strikes.

8:11: Total control time for Makhachev. By comparison, Moises logged 3:24 of control time in the contest. Makhachev landed three of six takedowns, while Moises was successful on one of his two attempts.

1,708: Days since Miesha Tate’s last Octagon appearance, a unanimous decision loss to Raquel Pennington at UFC 205 on Nov. 12, 2016. Tate announced her retirement after the defeat and stayed on the sidelines until Saturday, when she defeated Marion Reneau via third-round TKO in the bantamweight co-main event.

65: Significant strikes landed by Tate, a career best within the Las Vegas-based promotion. By comparison, Reneau landed just 26. “Cupcake” outlanded her foe 25 to 15 in Round 1, 22 to 8 in Round 2 and 18 to 2 in Round 3. Tate also held a 110-to-48 advantage in total strikes landed.

3: Takedowns landed in six attempts for Tate, tying her UFC career high previously set in a loss to Cat Zingano at “The Ultimate Fighter 17” finale.

13: Bantamweight bouts in the Octagon for Reneau, tying her with Raquel Pennington for the most in UFC history. Reneau confirmed that she will be retiring after her loss to Tate.

12: UFC fights ending by kimura since 2015. Mateusz Gamrot became the latest when he used the move to induce a tapout from Jeremy Stephens just 65 seconds into their lightweight encounter.

4,543: Days since Stephens’ last submission defeat, when “Lil Heathen” fell to Joe Lauzon via armbar at UFC Fight Night 17 on Feb. 7, 2009.

34: UFC appearances for Stephens, the fourth most in promotion history behind only Jim Miller (37), Donald Cerrone (37) and Andrei Arlovski (35).

179: Total strikes landed by Billy Quarantillo in a third-round technical knockout victory against Gabriel Benitez at featherweight. By comparison, Benitez landed 67 total strikes. Quarantillo also held a 100-to-57 edge in significant strikes landed.

7: Career submission triumphs among eight pro victories for Rodolfo Vieira, who tapped out Dustin Stoltzfus with a rear-naked choke 1:54 into Round 3 of their middleweight encounter. All three of Vieira’s UFC victories have came by way of submission.

12: Takedowns landed by Vieira in four Octagon apppearances. He landed three of his four attempts against Stoltzfus.

45: Significant strikes landed by Daniel Rodriguez in less than one round against Preston Parsons at welterweight. Rodriguez landed 45 of 83 attempts — a 54 percent success rate — en route to a technical knockout triumph 3:47 into Round 1. By comparison, Parsons landed 23 significant strikes.

500: Women’s fights in UFC history after Amanda Lemos and Monsterrat Ruiz squared off in a prelimary strawweight clash on Saturday night. Females debuted in the Octagon at UFC 157, when Ronda Rousey claimed the inaugural bantamweight crown with a submission of Liz Carmouche on Feb. 23, 2013.

0:35: Time of Lemos’ knockout victory over Ruiz, making it the second fastest finish in the history of the UFC women’s strawweight division. Poliana Botelho’s 33-second TKO of Syuri Kondo at UFC Fight Night 129 in May 2018 remains No. 1.

4: Consecutive triumphs for Lemos, tying her with Mackenzie Dern for the third-longest active winning streak at 115 pounds. Carla Esparza and Tatiana Suarez at currently tied for the longest active winning streak with five apiece.

6: Takedowns landed in 16 attempts for Sergey Mozorov in a unanimous decision triumph over Khalid Taha in a bantamweight encounter. The Kazakhstan native also logged 8:34 of control time as he used his grappling to carry him to his first UFC victory.

32: Significant strikes by which Alan Baudot outlanded Rodrigo Nascimento in the opening round of their prelimary heavyweight scrap.

21: Significant strike advantage for Nascimento in Round 2, when the Brazilian finished off Baudot with punches at the 1:29 mark of the period.
