His historic trilogy with Daniel Cormier now complete, undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight titleholder Stipe Moicic will take on yet another familiar face when he rematches Francis Ngannou in the UFC 260 headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Miocic took a lopsided unanimous decision from “The Predator” in their first encounter a little more than three years ago.

Miocic has rattled off eight wins across his past nine outings. The Strong Style Fight Team cornerstone last competed at UFC 252 in August, when he laid claim to a unanimous verdict over Cormier and exited the Octagon with a 2-1 advantage in their head-to-head series. Ngannou, meanwhile, finds himself on a four-fight winning streak. He last appeared at UFC 249, where he disposed of Jairzinho Rozenstruik with punches a mere 20 seconds into their May 9 pairing.

As UFC 260 “Miocic vs. Ngannou 2” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have generated to this point:

14: Miocic victories since he joined the UFC roster in 2011, placing him fifth on the promotion’s all-time list for heavyweights. Only Andrei Arlovski (19), Frank Mir (16), Derrick Lewis (16) and Junior dos Santos (14) have more.

11: First-round finishes on the Ngannou resume, four of the sub-minute variety. He has defeated his last four opponents in 162 seconds combined.

38: Years of age for Tyron Woodley. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born in Ferguson, Missouri, on April 17, 1982. Woodley draws “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 21 alum Vicente Luque in the welterweight co-main event.

6: Luque wins by submission, accounting for 32% of his career total (19). His methods of choice: two brabo chokes, two anaconda chokes, one guillotine choke and one arm-triangle choke. Luque holds 11 other victories by knockout and two more by decision.

5: Promotions in which Sean O’Malley has competed as a mixed martial artist. He has gone 5-0 in Intense Championship Fighting, 4-1 in the UFC, 1-0 in the Legacy Fighting Alliance, 1-0 in Dana White’s Contender Series and 1-0 in Extreme Beatdown. O’Malley confronts Thomas Almeida in a three-round bantamweight feature.

1,589: Days since Almeida posted the most recent of his 22 career wins. Once one of the sport’s top prospects, the 29-year-old Brazilian has not tasted victory since he cut down Albert Morales with punches in the second round of their UFC Fight Night 100 pairing on Nov. 19, 2016.

23: Years of age for Miranda Maverick. The youngest fighter on the card, she was born in Jefferson City, Missouri, on July 1, 1997. Maverick meets “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 26 graduate Gillian Robertson in a three-round women’s flyweight showcase.

14: Takedowns landed by Robertson as a UFC flyweight, tying her with Roxanne Modafferi for second on the organization’s all-time list at 125 pounds. Only Valentina Shevchenko (18) has executed more.

82: Significant strikes by which Jamie Mullarkey has been outlanded in his two UFC appearances, resulting in unanimous decision losses to Fares Ziam and Brad Riddell. He has connected on just 56 such strikes while absorbing 138 in return. Mullarkey looks to close the book on his two-fight losing streak in a featured lightweight clash opposite Khama Worthy.

9: Worthy wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 56% of his career total (16). His list of victims includes Devonte Smith, Adam Ward and Brady Hovermale. Worthy owns three other victories by submission and four more by decision.

.782: Cumulative winning percentage between the 20 fighters scheduled to compete at the event. They own a combined record of 273-72-4. Miocic owns the most wins (20) of any fighter on the card, while Luque (seven) and Worthy (seven) have been saddled with the most losses. Advertisement
