By The Numbers: UFC 276 Pre-Fight Edition

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will call upon two of its most trusted titleholders for UFC 276 on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, where Israel Adesanya puts his middleweight crown on the line against Jared Cannonier in the headliner and Alexander Volkanovski risks his featherweight belt opposite Max Holloway in the co-main event.

As UFC 276 “Adesanya vs. Cannonier” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have brought with them:

7: Post-fight bonuses banked by Adesanya across his 12 appearances in the UFC. The City Kickboxing superstar has been awarded “Performance of the Night” five times and “Fight of the Night” twice, resulting in $350,000 of additional income.

28: Rounds completed by Cannonier as a professional mixed martial artist. The Dallas native has gone the distance on six different occasions and carries a 3-3 record in those bouts.

3,340: Days since Volkanovski last experienced a defeat. He suffered his only career setback at Australian Fighting Championship 5, where Corey Nelson brought him down with a third-round head kick and follow-up punches on May 10, 2013.

2,848: Significant strikes landed by Holloway as a member of the UFC roster, placing him first on the promotion’s all-time list. No other fighter has even reached 2,000 in the category. Frankie Edgar ranks second with 1,799.

10: Sean Strickland wins by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 40% of his career total (25). His list of UFC victims: Brendan Allen, Nordine Taleb and Alex Garcia. Strickland owns four other wins by submission and 11 more by decision. The former King of the Cage champion takes on Alex Pereira in a three-round middleweight attraction.

4: Promotions in which Pereira has plied his mixed martial arts trade. The decorated kickboxer has gone 2-1 in Jungle Fight, 2-0 in the UFC and 1-0 in the Legacy Fighting Alliance.

40: Years of age for Robbie Lawler. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born on March 20, 1982 in San Diego. Lawler meets Bryan Barberena in a three-round welterweight showcase.

14: Consecutive calendar years in which Barberena has fought at least once. In addition to his 1-0 record in 2022, he went 2-0 in 2009, 2-2 in 2010, 1-0 in 2011, 1-0 in 2012, 1-0 in 2013, 3-0 in 2014, 0-1 in 2015, 2-1 in 2016, 1-1 in 2017, 1-0 in 2018, 0-2 in 2019, 1-0 in 2020 and 1-1 in 2021.

93: Seconds needed for Sean O’Malley to put away Josh Reyes with punches in his March 6, 2015 pro debut under the Intense Championship Fighting banner. Having occurred more than seven years ago, it remains his fastest finish to date. O’Malley draws former Resurrection Fighting Alliance champion Pedro Munhoz in his latest assignment at 135 pounds.

8: Munhoz victories by submission, accounting for 42% of his career total (19). His methods of choice: six guillotine chokes, one rear-naked choke and one heel hook. Munhoz holds five other victories by knockout or technical knockout and six more by decision.
