Ultimate Fighting Championship flyweight titleholders Deiveson Figueiredo and Valentina Shevchenko by now undoubtedly can hear their latest would-be successors as they stand at the gate and issue their challenges. Figueiredo will defend his 125-pound championship against Team Oyama’s Alex Perez in the UFC 255 main event on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, while Shevchenko will do the same against the resurgent Jennifer Maia in the co-headliner.

As UFC 255 “Figueiredo vs. Perez” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the card have generated to this point:

2.91: Submissions attempted by Figueiredo per 15 minutes of Octagon time—the highest such rate in the history of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s flyweight division. Louis Smolka (2.22), Neil Seery (1.55), Patrick Holohan (1.31) and Ray Borg (1.28) round out the Top 5 at 125 pounds.

3: Perez losses via submission. He tapped to a guillotine choke from Edgar Diaz at Tachi Palace Fights 11 on Dec. 2, 2011, bowed to a guillotine choke from Adam Antolin at Tachi Palace Fights 25 on Nov. 19, 2015 and submitted to an armbar from Jared Papazian at Tachi Palace Fights 27 on May 19, 2016.

13: Takedowns completed by Shevchenko since she joined the UFC women’s flyweight division. She ranks third all-time in the category at 125 pounds, trailing only Roxanne Modafferi (14) and Gillian Robertson (14).

652: Days spent by Maia as Invicta Fighting Championships flyweight titleholder. It remains the fifth-longest reign ever by an Invicta champion, behind Cristiane Justino (1,351), Barb Honchak (1,266), Ayaka Hamasaki (737) and Tonya Evinger (724).

4: Sub-minute finishes on the Tim Means resume, highlighted by his four-second knockout of Matt Butterfield at a King of the Cage event in 2009.

127: Combined victories between the six men—Geoff Neal, Vicente Luque, Donald Cerrone, Max Griffin, Santiago Ponzinibbio and Alan Jouban—who have beaten Mike Perry.

137: Total strikes by which the American Kickboxing Academy’s Cynthia Calvillo has outlanded the six opponents she has defeated inside the Octagon.

13: Route-going efforts from Katlyn Chookagian in her 18-fight career. She owns an 11-2 record in those outings. Chookagian’s only two losses on the scorecards—to Liz Carmouche at UFC 205 and to Jessica Eye at UFC 231—resulted in split verdicts.

38: Years of age for Rua, the oldest fighter on the card. He was born on Nov. 25, 1981 in Curitiba, Brazil, headquarters of the famed Chute Boxe camp that “Shogun” once represented.

12: Submission wins for Paul Craig, accounting for 92% of his career total (13). His methods of choice: seven triangle chokes, two armbars, one rear-naked choke, one guillotine choke and one brabo choke.

25: Years of age for Louis Cosce, the youngest fighter on the card. He was born on Aug. 27, 1995 in Arcata, California—a small town of roughly 17,000 people in the northwest corner of the Golden State.

.786: Cumulative winning percentage between the 24 fighters booked to compete at UFC 255. They own a combined record of 357-91-6. Means owns the most wins (30) and the most losses (12) of any fighter on the card.
